82nd Annual Meeting
Held at Kean University, the Urban League of Union County’s 82nd Annual Meeting provided an opportunity to examine the organization’s ongoing work in reentry counseling, housing, job placement, youth engagement, community affairs, financial empowerment, membership, and other areas of community service.
President and CEO Crystal Orr also emphasized the importance of community involvement, understanding local and national political roles, voting, youth participation, and economic advancement.
From Release to Reality: Reentry Symposium
The From Release to Reality: A Reentry Simulation and Community Forum brought executives, community leaders, advocates, and organizations together at Kean University for an interactive exploration of the barriers people can encounter when returning to society.
Through an interactive simulation, structured dialogue, and community connections, participants were challenged to move beyond awareness and consider how individuals and organizations can help create stronger outcomes for returning citizens.
Rise and Organize Breakfast
The Spring edition also features highlights from the Rise and Organize Breakfast, bringing another important moment of community connection into this season’s story.
